Everest Poker is a medium sized and independent multilingual poker room part of its own network. This site offers fair games, popular software and improving customer support. Even though Everest Poker does not accept U.S. players the traffic has kept growing; in fact, this is one of the few poker rooms that has benefited from the U.S. player ban.

The game types offered at the moment are Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo in ring games and tournaments, but Seven Card Stud and Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo are going to be added. Most of the players are concentrated at the low and medium limit Texas Hold’em games. As of January 2008 the peak cash game traffic of the site at peak hours reached around 6,000 real-money players.
 
Play at this poker room is loose with viewed-flop percentages of 70%/80% at the $0.02 No Limit tables and with 50%/60% at the $0.10 No Limit tables. The average pot sizes for the $0.02/$0.10 No Limit tables vary around $1/$4. Most of the Everest Poker player base is comprised of beginners. The tournament structure of Everest Poker has different buy-ins, starting at $1. Several guaranteed tournaments and satellites to events such as the European Poker Tour are available as well. Traffic at the tournaments is decent and play at any event (even at tournaments with bigger buy-ins) is loose. Play at the popular freerolls is not very good. Overall, this poker room has loose and profitable games at most stakes.
 
The site offers a simple sign-up bonus of $100, all you have to do is open an account; in order to clear the bonus you have to make a deposit and play for real money. This poker room doesn’t offer many reload bonuses but it has a system that lets players earn points that they can use to enter tournaments or buy merchandise. Everest Poker’s refer-a-friend program gives you a $50 bonus for each friend that you recommend. There’s a training room area where you can learn how to play poker. The way Everest Poker promotes this poker tutorial feature evidences that the site is aimed at novice players.
 
The quality of this software is amazing, the lobby is simple but easy to navigate and the information such as average pot size, viewed-flop percentage and hands played per hour is well-organized. The list of tables is scrollable and sortable, facilitating the selection of the limit and table size you want. The “seat finder” feature helps you find empty seats without having to find a full table and join a waiting list.

The table graphics are clean; the avatars have a decent appearance and the cards look amazing. The player chat function works well. Player notes are available during play, as well as a hand history feature that saves the details of the hands for 30 days. The “your statistics” section at the top right corner of the active tables lets you get a snapshot of your statistics. Multi-table play is supported at up to eight tables at a time but there are no mini-view functions.  

Support at this poker room is available by sending an email using a “web form” at the Player Support Centre section of the Everest Poker website. Customer Support is available in many languages but the replies seem generic.
