League Dates
Pre-requisites
Signup for a PSO account and have a real money Poker Stars account. Players are not required to have signed up for Poker Stars through PSO, nor are they required to have done any PSO promotions.
How to Register
You must register for the PSO Poker League via the Poker Stars software before each tournament starts. Enter the tournament lobby and register. The tournament entry fee will be deducted from your Poker Stars account. As with any online poker tournament, you can unregister from the Poker Stars tournament lobby at any time before the tournament starts and your entry fee will be refunded. Each League event will be password-protected and you will be able to find the password on the PSO Forum under the "PSO Freeroll Tournaments / Poker League" section.
Payout Structure
Standard Poker Stars tournament payout.
Individual Event Prizes
PSO Points will be awarded to the Top 9 finishers in each event:
- 1st Place -- 2,000 PSO Points
- 2nd Place -- 1,000 PSO Points
- 3rd Place -- 1,000 PSO Points
- 4th Place -- 1,000 PSO Points
- 5th Place -- 1,000 PSO Points
- 6th Place -- 1,000 PSO Points
- 7th Place -- 1,000 PSO Points
- 8th Place -- 1,000 PSO Points
- 9th Place -- 1,000 PSO Points
Event Scoring
Players will be awarded league points based on the place they finish. Each tournament has a 1st place score of 100 league points, with each place below that receiving 1 point less per place (i.e. 2nd receives 99 points, 3rd 98, 4th 97, etc.) Anyone finishing below 100th place will receive 0 league points for the tournament.
League Standings
Tournament scores will be totaled for each player and standings will be posted on the PSO website. To determine the overall scores, each player's highest 5 finishes from the No-Limit Hold’em events will count as well as the one highest finish in the “other” games events held on Wednesdays. Players are not required to participate in all fifteen events, but to be eligible for the Final Freeroll Tournament, players must participate in at least six tournaments (5 NL Hold’em and 1 “other”).
Final Freeroll Tournament
At the conclusion of the league, the top 10 players in the league standings for each league will receive an entry into a $2,000 freeroll tournament that will be held on July 12th at 3pm EST. In addition, any players who place 1st in any league event will receive an entry into the freeroll as long as they have played at least 5 regular events and 1 “other” event. If a player is in the top 10 for both leagues, their standing with the lowest score will be ignored in that league allowing the 11th place person entry.
If there is a tied score for the highest 6 finishes, then the highest overall score will be the tie-breaker.
Bonus Prizes
Any player who participates in all 15 tournaments will at the conclusion of the league receive 2,500 PSO points. Also, any player who participates in at least 12 tournaments will receive 1,000 PSO points at the conclusion of the league. Players will only qualify to receive these bonus points for participation in one league, not both.
The following bonus prizes will be awarded each tournament:
- Knock out a member of the PSO staff - 2,000 PSO Points
- One of the two randomly chosen winners - 1,000 PSO Points
- Knock out one of the random winners from the previous week - 1,000 PSO points
Additional Rules
- Any player who is deemed to have exhibited poor sportsmanship, which includes, but is not limited to, abusive language or taunting, excessive stalling, or discussing an active hand, will be disqualified from winning PSO prizes for that tournament and will not have the tournament count toward the required five for the Overall Prizes.
- Cheating is strictly prohibited. PSO reserves the right to ban any players from this or any future PSO-sponsored events if they are found to have cheated. Any prizes won may be forfeited, at PSO's discretion.
- All decisions by PSO are final.
