United States vs. Canada Poker League

Poker League Overview:

Poker Source Online is excited to announce our second poker league. However this time there will be a slight twist. Since Poker Source Online’s customer base is about 60% USA / 40% Canadian, we thought it would be fun to have a USA vs. Canada league. This 5-week tournament series will be comprised of 5 standard multi-table tournaments, and 5 championship single-table events.

Here is how it will work. Each week there will be a standard $5+$1 Multi-Table Tournament (MTT) with Absolute Poker's standard MTT prize pool distribution (plus bonus PSO points). The winner of the MTT tournament PLUS the remaining top 4 Americans and top 4 Canadians will advance to a Championship Tournament that will immediately follow the MTT. This means there will be 5 players representing one country and 4 players representing the other county, with the advantage going to the winner of the MTT round. The top four finishers in the Championship Tournament will earn points for their respective countries.

The first country to reach 28 points will win the coveted PSO Cup and be the undisputed best poker playing country. PSO will post results of the league on the home page about the tournament plus display the winning country’s flag.

NOTE: All Championship Tournaments will start 30 to 90 minutes after the MTT is completed.

Championship Tournaments Point Structure:

1st Place = 5 Points
2st Place = 3 Points
3st Place = 2 Points
4st Place = 1 Point

First Team to 28 points wins!
PSO Bonus Points:

Poker Source Online will be awarding bonus points for the following:

During the standard Multi-Table Tournaments:

1st Place = 1,000 PSO Points
2nd Place = 500 PSO Points
3rd Place = 250 PSO Points

During the Championship Tournaments:

1st Place = 2,500 PSO Points
2nd Place = 1,500 PSO Points
3rd Place = 1,000 PSO Points
4th Place = 500 PSO Points

Rules / Terms:

You must have a REAL money Absolute Poker account. It does NOT matter if you created that account through one of the PSO websites. Anyone with a REAL money Absolute Poker is welcome to play!
Buy-ins for the Multi-Table Tournaments are $5 + $1. The Championship Tournaments are freerolls and cost nothing to enter.
Prizes will be distributed directly to your Absolute Poker each week in accordance with Absolute Poker's standard tournament payouts.
Each tournament will be No-Limit Texas Hold'em.
You must register for the PSO Poker League BELOW even if you only want to play in one tournament. You only need to register once and registration is free. You do not need to register again if you registered for the previous league.
Each tournament will show up in the Absolute Poker lobby about 24 hours before the event starts. It is your responsibility to register for EACH tournamnet you want to play in BEFORE the tournament starts.
