She came out of nowhere last week, but now it looks like she has no plans on disappearing any time soon. After winning the $3,000 no-limit hold’em event (and $337,395) at the 2007 Five Star World Poker Classic, 21 year-old Anna Wroblewski decided she didn’t want the fun to stop. Thus, she now sits atop the 639 player field at the $25,000 WPT Championship after the first day of competition. Wroblewski and Sam Farha are the only two players with over 200,000 chips, with Dan Lowe only a couple thousand short of that threshold. Of note, John Racener is continuing his scorching rookie year on the tournament circuit. Since December, he has won $385,319, reaching multiple final tables, and winning one of the Bellagio’s weekly Friday/Saturday tournaments. He sits in sixth place after Day 1 with 175,925 chips. Day 2 will start noon Pacific Monday at the Bellagio with 485 players remaining. Day 1 Leaders 1. Anna Wroblewski -- 211,325 2. Sam Farha -- 210,700 3. Dan Lowe -- 198,050 4.
