Just as Full Tilt Poker is holding its Mini Series of Poker to mirror the 2008 World Series of Poker events, so is Absolute Poker. Based on the same concept, matching a smaller buy-in tournament with each WSOP tourney, Absolute’s offering is called the World Series of Absolute Poker (WSAP). Unlike Full Tilt’s series, there is no direct correlation between the buy-ins for the WSOP and the WSAP, although the smaller the buy-in for the WSOP, the smaller the buy-in for the WSAP. Buy-ins for the tourneys range from $10 to $200 and some, such as the big HORSE event and no-limit hold’em Main Event, have guaranteed prize pools. Absolute Poker is also giving away special prizes for the top WSAP performers. The player that wins the most cash across all of the WSAP events will win a free entry into the Aruba Classic. This same prize will be awarded to anyone who wins three events in a row (so, really, only one Aruba seat will be awarded, if you catch our drift). And finally, the player who makes the most final tables will receive a four week pass into the weekly $150,000 guaranteed tournament, including the $325,000 Super Saturday.
