After the Game Show Network declined to pick up its option for Season VII of the World Poker Tour (WPT), World Poker Tour Enterprises, Inc. was left scrambling for a television partner for this coming season, which is just completing its first U.S. Tour stop at the Bellagio Cup in Las Vegas.  Today, the company announced that it has struck a deal with Fox Sports Net (FSN) to broadcast 26 new one-hour WPT episodes for Season VII.

"The World Poker Tour has a track record as the ultimate brand name in televised poker,” said George Greenberg, FSN Executive Vice President of Programming and Production. "FSN is very happy to televise such quality content and we look forward to future programming opportunities with the WPT.”

FSN already does have some poker programming, highlighted by the Poker Superstars Invitational.

The first episode will feature the final table of the Bellagio Cup IV, which is wrapping up this week.  The complete television schedule will be announced on a future date.
