Wife: “My Husband Was Kidnapped!” Husband: “No I Wasn’t – I Was Going to Play Poker.”

Late on the night of April 9th, a couple pulled into the driveway of their Rialto, California, home. Little did they know that they had company waiting for them. Upon stepping out of the car, two men surprised the couple, grabbing the husband and tossing him into a second vehicle. And just like that, the woman’s spouse was gone.

Frantic, the wife called 911. The city police, along with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, canvassed the area, a search which included a helicopter sweep. The search ended quickly, as the mystery vehicle, the husband, and the “kidnappers” were found a couple miles away. Turned out that the perpetrators were the husband’s poker buddies and were just taking him to play poker. The husband and wife were not identified, and probably will not be, as nobody answered when the police visited the next day – they were probably too embarrassed.
