Well, it’s official. Anyone can own an online poker room. Witness one of the latest entries into the internet poker race: StarsOnPoker.com.
Who owns it? A poker pro? No. A big time business man like Donald Trump? No.
How about Ja Rule?
Ja who?
Ja Rule. For those not in their twenties or younger (although if you’re much younger, should you really be frequenting a poker website?), Ja Rule is a hip-hop music star. He has no connection to the poker world except for the fact that he now co-owns an online poker room with Anthony Peluso.
StarsOnPoker.com uses LasVegasFromHome.com software platform. Because of this, the poker room does offer some unique games that players won’t find most other places, such as Guts Poker, Chinese Poker, Big 2 Poker, and Pan.
The poker room also has several charity events planned around the world, the first taking place on June 29 in Miami. And as if hopping on the poker bandwagon wasn’t enough, StarsOnPoker also has a “reality” television show planned for 2007.
Ja Rule has a poker room. That really doesn’t get old. Ja Rule has a poker room.
Just give it time. One day, we'll all be playing at BugsBunnyPoker.com.
