Online gaming software developer, Microgaming, has effectively shut down twenty-eight of its poker licensees, as well as six casino licensees. All of the sites are owned by Tusk Investment Corporation, which informed Microgaming that it plans to go into liquidation. As a result, Microgaming terminated its license with Tusk, leaving the gambling sites in the lurch. The following poker rooms have been affected: Battlefield Poker, Royal Card Club, Red Nines, Arctic Poker, Raw Poker, Poker.ie, Daily Poker, Flush Draw Poker, Will Bet Poker, Bet Road Poker, Grand Central Poker, Off The Rail Poker, Privy Poker, Berserk Poker, Atomik Poker, Dave's Poker Room, Hetman Poker, Hot Pepper Poker, Poker Seas, TilttAA Poker, Loose Games Poker, CPT Gaming Poker, Ice Bear Poker, GoHard Poker, Caya Poker, Mr Urban Poker, Poker Sweden, and Euro Poker Dream. Microgaming has not released further details, but has said it will when it has more information. Needless to say, many customers of those rooms are worried about their deposits. A Battlefield Poker representative posted on the Two Plus Two forums, saying that he does not know much more than anyone else, but will keep members of the forum up to date. He said that Tusk handles all of the back-end functions for Battlefield, including support, call center, affiliate software, software upgrades, and deposits and cashouts. Online-Casinos.com reports that Microgaming has covered player payouts twice in the past when licensees went under, even though it has no obligation to do so.
