Tony Guoga wins at the Betfair Asian Poker Tournament in Singapore

Tony Guoga placed first in the Betfair Asian Poker tour in Singapore yesterday. Tony seemed to play a flawless game and made every correct choice with his aggressive play. He earned $451,700, of which he promptly donated half to charity. The money that Tony donated will go to Asian and Australian charities to be chosen by Betfair Poker who sponsored the event.

"I want people to know that poker is a sport," Tony Guoga said. "This is not a large amount compared to what people like Bill Gates give to charity, but it is a gesture to show that it's not all about the money. It's about the competition as well."

The final table was not easy for any of the players and it was a tough battle through out the day. Guoga had to deal with the chip leader coming into the final table, Lehtonen, as well as pro Lee Nelson and local favorite Ana Pang Leng.

Heads-up came down to Guoga against Leng. The final hand came as a huge disappointment for Leng, who turned over Ace-Jack. Guoga’s hand, 10-6, was dominated pre-flop. That all changed when Guoga hit a ten on the flop and nothing came on the turn or river for Leng.
