He can be obnoxious at the poker table, but Tony G has a soft side. After besting the field of fifty-three at the inaugural Moscow Millions at the Cosmos Casino, he gave his $205,000 in winnings back to tournament director Rhys Jones, requesting that it be donated to a Russian orphanage. This is not the first time Tony G has done something like this. In November 2006, he won the Betfair Asian Poker Tour, donating half of his $451,700 purse to charity. Poker Professionals, the group that organized the Moscow Millions, selected the orphanage. Tony G had great things to say about the tournament, complimenting the structure, as well as the fact that there were two dealers at the final table, allowing for many more hands to be dealt than one would normally see.
