Ted Forrest to Head Final Table of Mirage Showdown PPT Freeroll

The field was whittled down from 52 to 6 on Wednesday as the television final table was set at the Mirage Poker Showdown PPT Freeroll Event. Ted Forrest leads the field with 637,000 chips, while Tom Franklin is not too far behind with 597,000. The remaining four players are barely visible in the rear view mirror, as the third place entrant, David Levi, has a mere 194,000 chips.

The hand of the day occurred after dinner. Ted Forrest raised his 77, Brad Daugherty called holding JJ, and Randy Holland re-raised with a monster QQ. Both Forrest and Daugherty called and the three saw the flop….10-7-4. Forrest checked his set, as did Daugherty with his over pair, but Holland jumped on the perceived favorable flop and bet the pot. Then the action really started. Forrest called, Daugherty pushed all-in, Holland called, and Forrest, probably doing the dance of joy in his head, called, as well. The turn 3 and river 10 didn’t help Daugherty or Holland and Forrest pulled in a huge pot, setting himself up for his final table run.

The television final table will be played at the end of the Mirage Poker Showdown on May 27. The six finalists are as follows:
