San Antonio Man Shot During Poker Game

Last week, 49-year-old Charles Lineberry was shot twice in the chest at a home poker game on San Antonio’s west side.  The suspects have not been apprehended.

In the early morning hours on Tuesday, three masked gunmen fired shots outside the home before barging in through a back door.  They forced the approximately twelve players, who bought-in to the game for $300 a piece, up against the wall.  At some point, and for reasons yet unknown, Lineberry was shot.

The criminals raided the game’s cash box, as well as the players’ wallets, and got away with around $3,000.

Lineberry was taken to University Hospital and was reported to be in critical condition.  Divorced with a daughter, Lineberry has almost $175,000 in winnings on the poker tournament circuit.
