Yes, This is a Good Idea

When you are in legal and professional trouble for gambling, it might be a wise idea to stay away from gambling for a while.

You listening, Rick Tocchet?

The former National Hockey League star is currently on suspension from his job as associate coach of the Phoenix Coyotes, as he has sentences pending on third-degree conspiracy and promoting gambling convictions.  So, since he had nothing better to do, he decided to play in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker.

Thumbs up, Rick.  Excellent job.

You are facing up to ten years in prison and a $500,000 fine for committing gambling-related crimes and you thought to yourself, “Hey, self, I think I’ll go gamble it up in the most visible poker tournament in the world.  It’s only ten grand.”  Nice.

I could go on, but what’s the point?
