PokerStars and the Poker Players Alliance (PPA) are once again teaming up to boost membership in the organization that is fighting for the rights of American poker players. Through this week, PokerStars customers can enroll in the PPA for free by playing in a freeroll tournament at the online poker room. There will actually be three $5,000 freerolls each night, at 8:05pm, 9:55pm, and 11:05pm Eastern, so that United States residents have enough options. PokerStars will only allow people to play in one freeroll, regardless of whether it was this week or during a previous membership drive, as they are meant for players who have not yet joined the PPA. Personal information that PokerStars has on file for customers, such as name, address, and date of birth will be forwarded on to the PPA to complete the member registrations.
