PokerStars Releases 2008 WCOOP Schedule

The schedule has been finalized for PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker set to begin September 5 and run through September 21.  Over the course of those two weeks, PokerStars will host 33 events in all with $30,000,000 in guaranteed prize money.   

Last year, PokerStars guaranteed $15,000,000 across 23 events, but the total prize pools soared to over $24,000,000.  A player who goes by the screen name “ka$ino” won the Main Event and more than $1,378,330.50, the first prize to top the million dollar mark in WCOOP history. 

Satellites are running every day at PokerStars for those who would like to try to qualify for an event on the cheap.
