Passport to PokerStardom

The Tournament Leader Board (TLB) at PokerStars.com is typically a big deal.  Those who finish high up on the TLB not only garner a measure of status, but can also make a few extra bucks.  In December, PokerStars is upping the ante for the TLB, introducing the PokerStars Passport.

The top 100 TLB finishers this month will compete in a tournament on January 13 for a chance to travel the world playing in some of the biggest buy-in live tournaments around.  The winner of the Passport will start at the EPT German Open in January 2008 and then can select the next eight tournaments from amongst the EPT, AAPT, and WSOP Main Event.  The tenth and final event of the Passport will be the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in January 2009.

On top of that, PokerStars will take 10 percent of any of the winner’s cashes, double it, and return it to the PokerStars community in the form of freerolls for SilverStar VIP’s and higher.

The other eight final table members in the big top 100 tournament will also win prizes, ranging from an EPT Monte Carlo package for the runner-up down to $1,000 for ninth place.

Those who finish 101st through 1,000th on the December TLB will be split into three groups, each of which will play for another EPT Monte Carlo package (one per tournament).  These three tournaments will also take place on January 13.
