PokerStars Introduces Turbo Takedown Tourney

PokerStars announced a huge one-time-only tournament yesterday, designed for people who have Frequent Player Points (FPP) to burn.  The PokerStars Turbo Takedown requires a 10,000 FPP buy-in and will take place at 14:30 ET on Sunday, February 17.

This no-limit hold’em tournament will have a massive $2 million prize pool and will pay out to 33 percent of the field (maximum number of entrants is 12,000).  The first place finisher will receive $200,000 and even the bottom of the money list will take home $180.

Of course, even those people with 10,000 FPP might not want to part with them when there is no guarantee that they will receive anything in return.  Therefore, PokerStars is running satellite tournaments for as few as 10 FPP.  To play in the satellites, go to the “Events” tab in the PokerStars lobby, then click “Special,” followed by “FPP Satellites.”  The Turbo Takedown tournament itself is under “Events” and “Special.”
