PokerRoom.com Giving Low Rollers Chance at $1,000 Tournament Entry

The weekend of October 1 and 2, online poker room, PokerRoom.com, will be hosting the fourth installment of its “Grand Tournament.” The $1,000 buy-in event promises to have a tremendous prize pool, which has already eclipsed $200,000.

To qualify for the tournament, PokerRoom.com is holding the usual satellite qualifiers, but it has also announced a unique way for all players to win a free entry into the competition, just by playing the games they always play.

Each day from September 25 through September 29, players will be awarded points based on how they perform in Sit-and-Go (S&G) tournaments. The point leader each day will win the $1,000 buy-in just for playing as normal. No need for special qualifiers, nothing. Players will receive 30 points for winning a 10-person S&G and 10 points for placing second. Those who prefer 5-person S&G’s can also earn 15 points for winning at the short-handed tables.
