Poker Source Online, the home of the original free poker promotions, is awarding $10,000 in prizes to customers as part of this month’s Fall 2006 Poker League. The league is well underway, but there is still time to participate and qualify for the final prizes. Even those who do not play in enough tournaments to qualify for the overall final standings can still win prizes, on top of the standard tournament payouts, in each individual event.
During October, eight tournaments will be held at Absolute Poker on Sunday and Wednesday nights. In order to play, one only needs to have a Poker Source Online (PSO) account and a real money account at Absolute Poker. The buy-in for each tournament is $5 + $0.50. There is no obligation to play for those who register at PSO’s site; one can play in as many tournaments as they would like. Players do, however, need to play in five tournaments to qualify for the overall prizes.
$800 in prizes are awarded for each tournament, while the top five players in the final league standings will win their share of $3,400. And players don’t even have to do well to win something – three random prizes are awarded for each tournament. In fact, the third event saw one of those prizes go to the last place competitor!
The Spring PSO Poker League saw its champion win a seat at a World Series of Poker event. While timing makes that difficult for this league, there is still a lot of money up for grabs and tons of fun to be had by everybody.
