Three men were arrested and sixty people were issued citations after police raided an illegal gambling operation on the northeast side of Indianapolis Tuesday night.
The three men arrested were 36-year-old Ryan Roe for promoting illegal gambling (class D felony), 65-year-old Donald Kincaid for carrying a handgun without a license and illegal gambling, and 28-year-old Richard Harvey for unlawful gambling and outstanding civil contempt.
One of the people cited for illegal gambling was one of law enforcement’s own, 30-year-old Indiana State Trooper Kyle Freeman.
Patrons of the establishment, called the Pinnacle Club, were required to pay both a membership fee to play at the club and pay to play each night. About $6,000 was seized from the club, along with poker equipment and flat screen televisions.
The club was the target of an armed robbery just last week. Two men, one armed with an automatic handgun, made off with $11,700 in the early morning hours of March 6. Roe was struck in the face with the gun during the robbery.
