Online gaming company, Playtech, reported an increase in revenues for the first quarter of 2007 compared to the fourth quarter of 2006 and says that the upward trend should continue. Revenue was up 14 percent to $19.8 million, although that fell $1 million short of the mark set by the same quarter a year ago. Casino revenue accounted for $15.2 million (down 17 percent from last year, up 6 percent from last quarter), while poker revenue was $4.2 million (up 102 percent from last year, up 56 percent from last quarter). Included in the results were some revenues from gaming partners who migrated from both the Tain and Tribeca Tables networks. Playtech believes that as they move into the second quarter, the contributions from those partners will be felt even more. Originally published 11:03 PM Thursday, May 17, 2007
