Playtech Confident About 2007 Results

The official numbers are not in yet, but online gambling software developer, Playtech, says that it is confident that its 2007 earnings will meet estimates.

During the first half of 2007, revenue had fallen 4.8 percent to $44 million as a result of losing U.S. customers after the UIGEA, while net income dropped 5 percent to $29 million.

Current estimates have revenue for the entire year at $102.8 million and pretax profit at $68.8 million.

Despite the loss of U.S. customers, Playtech’s relatively young iPoker network (Titan Poker, Noble Poker, CD Poker) has become the fourth most trafficked network for real money cash games.  In fact, it peaked at over simultaneous 10,000 players for the first time this week, according to PokerScout.com.
