PKR.com Set for Springfest

The unique online poker room, PKR.com, is getting ready to rollout a new tournament series starting March 31 which it has fittingly dubbed Springfest. The “festival,” as PKR.com likes to call it, will feature eight multi-table tournaments with over $70,000 in total guaranteed prize money plus two special tournaments, one of which will award a seat at the 2007 World Series of Poker.

Springfest was designed with the “every day” player in mind, with buy-ins set at levels so as to include as many players as possible, regardless of bankroll. The most expensive entry is $109, while the rest run the gambit from a low of $5.50 to $55. Satellites will be held for each on the day of their respective events, with the exception of the $25,000 guaranteed Main Event, whose satellites will start on March 3.

The winner of each of the eight tournaments plus the top two finishers on the Springfest leaderboard will compete in a single table, winner-take-all Tournament of Champions for the World Series of Poker seat.

As an added bonus, everyone who plays in the Main Event plus two other events will qualify for a $5,000 “Threeroll,” with no entry fee at all.

And in true championship fashion, all event winners will receive a silver bracelet to commemorate their victories.
