“Next-gen” poker room, PKR.com, which features 3D graphics and customizable player avatars, became one of the few online poker rooms with its own podcast, as it launched “PKRcast” on Thursday. PKRcast is produced completely in-house and will feature PKR-related content, including PKR news, interviews, and expert advice. Among the first interviews will be members of “Team PKR,” as they prepare to compete in the Main Event at the 2007 World Series of Poker. “We’re really proud of the community that we’ve built around PKR and the PKRcast fits perfectly along side initiatives like My PKR, Tournament Rankings and PKR Blogs,” said PKR Marketing Director Simon Prodger. “We’re looking forward to extending the conversation with our players even further with the introduction of a Podcast.” PKRcast will be available for download both at PKR.com and via iTunes. Fans can also subscribe to a PKRcast RSS feed.
