Marianela Pereyra will be the new hostess of the popular NBC television show, Poker After Dark, replacing everybody’s favorite poker leading lady, Shana Hiatt. The show’s third season will begin airing New Year's morning. Pereya is perhaps best known as the hostess of Fuse TV’s Daily Download show. She does have poker experience, however, as she served as a roving interviewer for ESPN’s 2007 World Series of Poker pay-per-view coverage. Pereyra, who just turned 28, hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina, the daughter of two tango dancers. Her family moved to the United States when she was five. While at the University of Maryland, she landed her first television role, hosting the Mhz Network’s live music video show, MHZ HOT.
