New Absolute Poker Software in the Works

It looks like the leopard is finally going to change his spots.  Absolute Poker, known in the online poker world as having one of the ugliest interfaces around, is preparing to release a revamped version of its software client.

The software, which is reported to be rolled out within the next few weeks, has a much slicker, more contemporary look than its clunky, original Nintendo-looking style which is currently in use.  Absolute is also adding several features to bring itself up to par with its competitors.

Players will be able to choose from amongst three different table views.  There is still the original overhead view (although, again, it looks cleaner), but there is now a three-quarters overhead view, as well as the ability to remove chairs and extra clutter.  The player avatars are larger and rectangular, a change from the ovals of today.

Perhaps most important to many players will be the ability to resize tables to make multi-tabling much easier.  The number of tables that can be played at one time will also be increased, possibly to as high as twenty.  Absolute will also include “tile” and “cascade” buttons so that players can quickly arrange all the windows with a click of the mouse.
