Neteller to Begin U.S. Funds Distribution Today

The day has finally come.  Monday, July 30, marks the day that Neteller says it will begin the process of returns funds to U.S. customers.  After a half-year debacle that has seen U.S. customer deposits frozen by the U.S. government, the two founders of the company arrested, and Neteller’s withdraw from several countries, including the U.S. and Canada, the headaches looks like they may be coming to an end. 

When the withdrawal process is ready to begin on July 30, Neteller will e-mail customers, although it does also recommend to check the company’s website for updates, as well.  U.S. customers will have until January 26, 2008 to login to their accounts to request a withdrawal, which will be made to the bank account on record with Neteller or by a mailed paper check.  No fees will be charged for either method.   

Neteller warns people that the process may take a bit more time than they used to when there were no problems, as they anticipate a mad rush of cash out requests.  The company also reminds people to only login to their accounts directly through the Neteller.com website, as there may be criminals attempting to defraud customers through phishing e-mails.  Do not click on a supposed account login link in an e-mail – open a web browser and manual type in Neteller’s web address.
