The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that Neteller will continue to service U.S. customers, even after the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act is signed into law. Neteller’s future status has been one of the biggest questions of the past two weeks, as nobody was sure how the company would handle the new law, even though it technically only applies to the U.S. financial companies. The company is based in London.
It still remains to be seen whether or not the U.S. government will ever try to do anything to stop companies like Neteller from doing business with U.S. customers, but Bruce Elliott, the company’s executive vice president said simply:
“I don’t think we have a very big problem.”
Well put, sir.
