While the Microgaming Poker Network has proven to be a safe refuge for many poker rooms looking to serve American customers, it has also broadened its horizons internationally. This week, two new poker rooms joined the fray, one aimed at Europe, the other at Latin America. Globet Casino, which targets Central and Eastern Europe, launched Globet Poker on the Microgaming Poker Network on November 9. The company switched to Microgaming’s casino platform in mid-2006 and chose Microgaming for poker because it “…incredibly impressed with the company's comprehensive game portfolio and account management team.” This week, Chilean-based Mamamia Poker launched on the network. Its initial target markets are Chile and Argentina, but Mamamia Gaming has plans to expand across South America through affiliate marketing. The company also wants to attract European customers in the future, as well. Said Microgaming’s CEO, Roger Raatgever, “We are delighted to be welcoming Mamamia Poker to the Microgaming Poker Network – our first South American operator. We’ve spent a great deal of time and resources building a support network on the ground in South America and we see this addition as just the start. We believe that our ability to provide poker in more languages than any other network is critical to helping our operators become successful in what is a truly global marketplace and we look forward to helping Mamamia achieve its aims - both in South America and beyond .”
