Microgaming’s Flash Software Goes Live

Microgaming released a beta version of its Multi-Player Viper (MPV) software, currently available for use via RoyalVegasPoker.com and PokerTime.com. The software is flash-based and requires no download, allowing players to compete from any computer.

Right now, the MPV software is incompatible with the Firefox browser, so players must access it through Internet Explorer. At first glance, it looks to be higher quality than other no-download poker clients out there. It is quick to load, the action runs fairly smoothly, the sound effects are solid, and most of the features from the regular software are available.

While it is not touted as such, one would assume that Mac users will be able to use the MPV software, as well as PC users. No timetable has been announced for a network-wide rollout.
