With only three tables remaining, Mark Seif sits atop the leaderboard going into play Tuesday at the WPT’s World Poker Challenge. The double bracelet winner at the 2005 World Series of Poker has never won a World Poker Tour title, but is in good shape to give himself a chance to do so at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. At $535,000 in tournament chips, Seif is almost $80,000 ahead of Juan Carlos Alvarado ($456,500), but it will not be easy to win the $5,000 event with plays like Erick Lindgren, David Pham, Joe Sebok, Mike Matusow, and J.C. Tran all over $150,000. The winner of the tournament will receive $683,473 and a $25,000 at the WPT World Championship. Everybody at the television final table (top six) will cash in six figures. All of the players remaining are already guaranteed a payday, as well, with the next table-load of players to bow out receiving $11,391 each. Play resumes Tuesday and will continue until the television final table is determined. Remaining Players After Day 2 - Mark Seif -- 535,000
