Hold’em Coming to Game Terminals in Croatia

Soon, Croatians will be able to play poker for real money at special gaming terminals in restaurants, coffee shops, and other entertainment venues.  Betting Terminal Inc., a company which manufactures such gaming terminals, has announced that it has chosen BackgammonMasters to provide poker software for its gaming stations.

Multi-player Texas Hold’em will be the first game offered, but the terminals will eventually feature other casino games, as well.  The terminals access a server remotely, similar to the way PC’s access online poker rooms, and players can use pre-paid cards or credit cards to access their accounts and place their bets.  Both private and public games are available, all played in real-time against real opponents.  It is essentially like playing online from home, but instead it is at a touch screen terminal at a public venue.

Betting Terminal’s CEO said of his decision to go with BackgammonMasters, “BackgammonMasters [is] known for their Backgammon community and also having the best graphics, the widest variety of games, and their platform is the most powerful and at the same time stable game software available in the industry.”

This will be BackgammonMasters’ first worldwide release of its poker software.
