The tremendously popular Game Show Network program, High Stakes Poker (HSP) will be returning for its third season, starting January 15.

The show features some of the world’s top poker professionals, as well as a few amateurs with money to throw around, playing in a real cash game at the Palms in Las Vegas. The minimum buy-in for the Texas hold’em game is $100,000, although players can bring as much as $1,000,000 to the table.

Gabe Kaplan and A.J. Benza will once again provide the commentary, although in a twist, Kaplan, an accomplished player in his own right, will play in some of the episodes. In his stead, one of the players will team with Benza to announce the action.

In addition to the stars who played in the first two seasons, fans will see some new faces on the show. These include World Series of Poker champion Jamie Gold as well as Paul Wasicka, Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson, Patrick Antonius, David Benyamine, John D'Agostino, Victor Ramdin, David Williams, Bill Chen, Dan Harmetz, Dan Shak, Illya Trincher and Brian Townsend.

Season three will air new episodes for thirteen weeks, starting on January 15 at 9:00pm EST. Each show will re-air at 2:00am EST, as well as Thursday at 9:00pm EST.
