The most popular poker show on television for die-hard fans is back for its fourth season on Monday, August 27. High Stakes Poker will air new episodes at 9:00pm EDT on Mondays, with encores at the same time on Thursday nights. Gabe Kaplan and AJ Benza will be back as hosts as the show moves to its new network, The Game Show Network. As usual, the minimum buy-in will be $100,000, although on November 5, the minimum buy-in is raised to $500,000. This “High-High Stakes Poker” table will be shown for the final seven episodes of the season. The $100,000 table will comprise the first ten episodes. The first episode of Season IV features HSP old hats Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Laak, Todd Brunson, and Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, along with new faces Brian Brandon from Chicago, Antonio Salorio from Florida, and poker pro Haralabos Voulgaris from Los Angeles. Also back to try to regain some of his losses from previous HSP appearances is tournament expert and 11-time WSOP bracelet winner, Phil Hellmuth. Other returning players includes favorites such as Patrik Antonius, David Benyamine, Doyle Brunson, Eli Elezra, Sam Farha, Jamie Gold, Barry Greenstein, Jennifer Harman, and Daniel Negreanu.
