Casino behemoth Harrah’s Entertainment is investigating the possibility of expanding its World Series of Poker brand into the online poker arena. Gary Loveman, Harrah’s Entertainment CEO, addressed the subject at the Global Gaming Expo this week in Las Vegas. Like WSOP competitor, the World Poker Tour, Harrah’s would not make its online poker room available to U.S. residents. "If you take a look at the legal landscape in continental Europe and the United Kingdom, there are countries where it's demonstrably legal and there's absolutely no encumbrance," Loveman said. "Those are areas that are very attractive to us." There are no firm plans yet, but online poker appears to be something Harrah’s is giving more than just a passing thought.
