Greenstein, Seif Top Leaderboard at WPT World Poker Open

Continuing the whirlwind of major poker tournaments this month, the $10,000 buy-in main event of the WPT World Poker Open began this weekend at the Gold Strike in Tunica, Mississippi. 294 players started, most probably exhausted from traveling to the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and Aussie Millions, creating a prize pool of $2,521,504. The tournament will pay to 27 places, with $904,574 going to the winner.
After the first day, Barry Greenstein leads the pack with $130,650 in chips. The only other players in six figures are Ed Ford with $121,100 and Mark Seif with $105,575.
Other notables in the top 20 entering Day 2 are Gavin Smith, Victor Ramdin, Amir Vahedi, Phil Hellmuth, Hoyt Corkins, and Chau Giang.
Day 2 will begin with 174 players and will go for five levels before quitting for the night.
