The response to Full Tilt Poker’s $25K Heads-Up Championship has been so strong that the online poker room is giving more people a chance to compete for a piece of the massive prize pool. Originally capped at 64 entrants, the field had already been filled by Friday, with 60 players registered, plus 4 spots reserved for satellite winners. Because there is still a week until the tournament begins, Full Tilt decided to expand the field to 128 players. Now, instead of a paltry (sarcasm) $560,000 for first place, the top prize may hit $1 million, depending on the payout structure. Four more satellite seats have been added and the field now sits at 66 (a couple players unregistered, one of which was John Juanda). If the field does not fill completely, it will be pared back down to 64 players, as Full Tilt needs a “perfect” bracket to allow for a fair tournament.
