Full Tilt Doling Out WSOP Seats

It’s Christmas in the spring for online poker players – the time of year when poker rooms start running World Series of Poker satellites.  And once again, Full Tilt Poker is handing out hundreds of seats to WSOP events.

Full Tilt’s monster WSOP qualifier is the “150 Seat WSOP Main Event Guarantee.”  The tournament is exactly what you would expect.  On Sunday, June 15 at 6:00pm EST, Full Tilt will hold a $500 + $35 multi-table tournament in which at least the top 150 finishers will win seats to the WSOP Main Event, plus $2,000 in spending money.  Of course, the “at least” means that if enough players enter to make the prize pool large enough, more seats may be added.

The poker room is also running WSOP qualifiers on a smaller scale.  Three of the days are the same as last year.  The “$200 Tuesday Main Event Guarantee” will take place every Tuesday (obviously) from March 4 through June 17 at 9:00pm EST.  The buy-in is $200 + $16.  At least two $12,000 WSOP Main Event prize packages are guaranteed.  The “$1K Thursday Main Event Guarantee” is a bit more pricey, at $1,000 + $60, but will award one Main Event seat for every twelve entrants, with at least five seats guaranteed.  This tourney will be every Thursday at 9:00pm EST from March 6 through June 19.  Finally, there is the “$500 Sunday Main Event Guarantee,” held every Sunday from March 9 through June 22 at, once again, 9:00pm EST.  Buy-in is $500 + $35, with at least two Main Event prizes guaranteed.  New this year is the “$300 Wednesday Main Event Guarantee,” running March 5 through June 18 and guaranteeing two seats for the $300 + $22 tourney.

On top of all of those weekly WSOP qualifiers, Full Tilt is holding one massive qualifier for the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, where it will award at least two $52,000 prize packages.  The buy-in is $1,000 + $60 and the tournament will be on Sunday, June 8 at 3:00pm EST.

All of the above qualifiers also have satellites so that players can win entry for a smaller buy-in.

It doesn’t stop there, though.  All Full Tilt players can win a Main Event seat for free just for playing at Full Tilt.  In the “Race to the Main Event” promotion, the online poker room will hold a freeroll tournament every week in which three seats will be awarded.  To gain direct entry into the freeroll, players must earn 3,000 Full Tilt Poker Points in the previous qualifying week.  The qualifying weeks begin on Sundays and end on Saturdays. The freerolls will take place on Sundays at 4:30pm EST.  Players can also take 75 Iron Man Medals instead of the freeroll entry, but must choose that option before the freeroll begins.  Freeroll tokens and Iron Man Medals can be confirmed in the Cashier.  For those who can’t rack up that many points, Round 1 SNG’s are available in which the winners move on to Round 2 SNG’s.  The top two finishers in Round 2 move on to the weekly freerolls.

Full Tilt Poker is also bringing back a couple popular WSOP promotions from last year.  In the “Race for Bracelets” promotion, players can win a $2,000 WSOP prize package ($1,500 towards a seat plus $500 in spending money) by winning a special tournament, held nightly.  Buy-ins range from $24 + $2 to $69 + $6 and the games include no-limit hold’em, H.O.R.S.E., Omaha, Razz, short-handed no-limit, and fixed-limit.

And back once again “$10 Million Main Event Mania” longshot.  If a player wins his Main Event entry on Full Tilt and goes on to win the whole thing, Full Tilt will award him an additional $10 million.  It’s that simple (well, simple might not be the right word).

Last but not least, there is the “King of the WSOP” promotion.  In this one, whoever wins the most Main Event seats through Full Tilt will be crowned King and receive first-class round-trip airfare to the WSOP from anywhere in the U.S., round-trip airport limo service in Vegas, a free suite, and a special crown on the Full Tilt avatar of his choice.  Additionally, if the new King eclipses last year’s mark of six Main Event seats, he will win another $25,000.
