Full Tilt Poker has announced the schedule for the ninth edition of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series. Running August 6 through August 17, FTOPS IX will feature 25 events, one more than last time, and a total of more than $15 million in guaranteed prize money. Last time, three “Mystery Tournaments,” were a new wrinkle, but they have been eliminated this go-round. The non-monetary prizes remain virtually the same as last time. Those who make the final table of an event will get a limited edition FTOPS jacket. Tournament winners will get the jacket, a gold FTOPS jersey, and a gold FTOPS avatar to use at the online tables. The Tournament of Champions will pit the winners of events in FTOPS V through VIII against each other, with a seat at the Main Event of the 2009 WSOP on the line. This tournament will be held on May 24 2009. Full Tilt has also brought back the "Bouncebackability" Freeroll, which it introduced in FTOPS VI. Those who receive the unfortunate distinction of “bubble boy” in an event will win an entry into this freeroll, where the ultimate winner will earn a seat in the next FTOPS Main Event.
