FTOPS V Event #4 – “bmqball” Wins Pot-Limit Omaha Six-Max

There are times when it is smart to sit on your big stack and there are times when it is wise to swing it around like a sledgehammer.  “bmqball” went into the FTOPS V six-handed pot-limit Omaha final table as the chip leader and knew exactly when to sit back and when to attack in the process of mowing down the competition on the way to the title and over $66,000. 

He barely played at all for the first half hour of the final table, content to wait for good hands and let everyone else beat each other up.  Once the game was five-handed, however, he went to work.  First, he knocked out “YoungSupremacy,” cracking his Aces with Jacks.  Then, he cracked “Buckster316’s” Kings with Ace-Jack (yes, they each had two other cards), when he hit two pair.  Just two hands later, he proceeded to take out “Tutnik” with a flush.   

Heads-up, it was “bmqball” against “serialkaller.”  “bmqball” had a sizeable chip lead going in, but “serialkaller” made a run, pulling close to even.  But “bmqball” took a series of big hands, knocking his opponent’s stack down 400,000 chips.  It was academic from there, as “bmqball” eventually eliminated “serialkaller” with a full house over trip Kings.
