FTOPS V Event #3 – “JensV” Wins Pot-Limit Hold’em

It was an all-female heads-up match in the third event of this month’s Full Tilt Online Poker Series, as “JensV” squared off against “Red Bikini” at the end of a seven hour pot-limit hold’em tournament.  “JensV” started with an almost 2-to-1 chip lead, but “Red Bikini” pulled even.  Eventually, however, the two got all their chips in the middle in a race – “Red’s” 5-5 versus “Jens’” A-7.  The flop was no good for “Jens,” but runner-runner diamonds on the turn and river gave her a flush, the FTOPS title, and almost $62,000. 

It was fitting that it came down to those two, as they held the two biggest chip stacks going into the final table.  Also in contention was a champion from the last FTOPS, “TheFatFISH.”  He took out “MrKrabbs” in 9^th place, followed by “Red Bikini” eliminating “Corny54” in 8^th.  Those two bullies then tangled in a couple big pots, the first going to “TheFatFISH” when he doubled-up with A-Q versus 5-5.  “Red Bikini” got payback a few hands later when her A-Q hit against his 9-9.  “TheFatFISH” was out in 7^th soon thereafter. 

The strangest play of the night was when “lyerly” went all-in with 9-2, but got lucky in doubling-up through “Red Bikini.”  He said he was also playing at two other final tables at the same time, so he was a bit out of it.  Thanks to that hand, “lyerly” made it all the way to 3^rd place.
