FTOPS V Event #2 – “SENDIT16” Wins H.O.R.S.E.

In the second FTOPS V event at Full Tilt Poker, player “SENDIT16” showed that the way to consistently win at poker is through aggression.  By doing much of the damage at the final table, he was able to win the H.O.R.S.E. event and over $50,000. 

He came out swinging when there were eight players left, eliminating both the eighth and fifth place finishers.  He let runner-up, “AngelTheresa,” do the dirty work when play was four handed, as she knocked out both the third and fourth place finishers.   

Heads-up, it was almost a crap shoot, as the betting limits were so high compared to the chip stacks that one hand could go a long way in determining the champion.  “AngelTheresa” took a 620,000 chip pot from “SENDIT16” during a Stud round (and she let him know it in the chat box), but “SENDIT16” turned the tables, pulling down a massive 1.12 million chip pot in quick order.  It didn’t take much more for “SENDIT16” to eliminate his foe, as he out-kicked her on a hand in which they both made a pair of Jacks. 

It must have been a bittersweet run for “AngelTheresa,” as she was the runaway chip leader with just 22 players remaining.  With over 500,000 chips, she had almost double the stack of her closest competitor.  But, as many tend to do, she chased one too many hands during an Omaha High-Low round to come back to the pack.
