Young Cho and Daniel Negreanu sit atop the standings as the WPT World Poker Open prepares for final table action today in Tunica, Mississippi. Cho is dominating the other five players with almost $2.6 million in chips, twice that of second place Negreanu. Nobody else has more than $731,000. Today’s winner will receive $904,574 and a $25,000 seat at the WPT Championship.
Cho was the chip leader right up until the end of Day 3, when he lost a huge pot to James “Catfish” Bullard. Cho was unfazed, however, and simply went back to work to win back his chips on Wednesday. He proceeded to knock out the 14th, 12th, 10th, and 7th place finishers to build his stack to what it is today.
Final table will commence at 5:00pm Central time Thursday.
