Former world number one ranked tennis star, Boris Becker, is the latest member of Team PokerStars.

The 40-year old German-born Becker won 49 career singles titles, including six Grand Slams (Australian Open twice, Wimbledon three times, and U.S. Open once).  At the time he won his first Wimbledon in 1985, he was the youngest Grand Slam champion ever, at 17 years, 7 months of age.

Boris “Boom Boom” Becker was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2003.

“When I was still playing professional tennis, I started learning to play poker casually in-between games because it helped me to improve my concentration,” Becker said on the PokerStars website. “Now I want to develop my poker skills and challenge myself to become really competitive at the highest levels in poker.”
