It may not be like PokerStars’ ten billionth hand, but it’s still something to celebrate. Bodog is giving away thousands of dollars as the poker room’s one billionth hand quickly approaches. Estimates put the big hand’s appearance somewhere towards the end of November. Bodog is celebrating five milestone hands by awarding bonus dollars to the players at the table where the hands are dealt. That’s right. Bonus dollars. Not real, instantly cashable money, but bonus dollars that require Bodog points to be earned before cashout. There are three milestone hands remaining: for the 990 millionth hand, $4,000 (bonus dollars, remember) will be split amongst the players at the table, $5,000 for the 995 millionth, and $10,000 for the billionth. Each player at the table will also receive $109 in tournament credits. Additionally, through November 26, Bodog will randomly draw the names of ten players each day to win $50 each. These prizes will be bonus dollars, as well. To enter the drawing, players must earn 100 Bodog poker points. Once earned, players will receive one entry into each day’s drawing. For every additional 100 poker points, another entry into every drawing will be awarded. At the end of the promotional period, one winner will receive the grand prize of $1,000 (bonus dollars) every month for a year. So, while it’s nice that Bodog is giving away money for it’s billionth hand celebration, it would be better if it wasn’t “money.”
