Amarillo Slim Attacked Again

Amarillo Slim has been finding himself facing the business end of a gun more than he would like lately. Almost four months ago, legendary poker player Thomas Austin “Amarillo Slim” Preston was shot at in his car when he refused to hand over his money to a potential robber. Sunday night, Preston was unable to thwart a second robbery attempt.

The 78 year-old Preston was out Sunday and returned to his home around 6:00pm, only to find two armed men in his apartment. Holding his shotguns. According to Preston, the men tied him up, stole money and the weapons, and escaped out the back. He does not know how they were able to gain access to his residence.

Fortunately, like last time, Preston was uninjured.

Perhaps a disguise and an unlisted address are in order.
